Job Summary
The Implementation Supervisor II is a 16-month contract role responsible for leading mid‑ to large-scale IT service migrations, software implementations, and multi-site account transitions within the logistics and supply chain industry. This position supports Helix Migration projects involving multiple products, services, and customer environments.
You will analyze customer migration requirements, develop implementation models, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure successful deployment across all project phases. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, communication, user acceptance training, reporting, and post-implementation audits.
The role requires deep project management expertise, the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, and comfort working in fast-moving operational environments. Domestic travel is required to support onsite migrations, with potential international travel to Canada based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead mid‑ to large-scale IT migrations, software implementations, and account transitions.
- Develop and manage implementation models, including deployment plans, timelines, communication strategies, and UAT coordination.
- Oversee multi-site migration activities involving multiple products and services.
- Ensure projects meet customer expectations, internal standards, and operational requirements.
Cross-Functional Team Management
- Manage cross-functional implementation teams across IT, operations, and customer stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the Program Manager to align project goals, risks, and deliverables.
- Facilitate daily status meetings (Zoom) and coordinate activities across multiple workstreams.
Project Tracking & Reporting
- Use project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar) to track progress, risks, and action items.
- Conduct weekly reporting, client communications, and post-implementation audits.
- Analyze project outcomes, lessons learned, and process improvements.
Onsite Support
- Travel to customer locations across the U.S. to support account migrations.
- Provide onsite leadership during deployment phases, cutovers, and operational transitions.
- Occasional travel to Canada may be required based on project scope.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a strong focus on IT migrations, software implementations, or account/service transitions.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, warehousing, or related industries.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
- Strong understanding of the technical aspects of migrations and software implementation processes.
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills, including leading status meetings and tracking action items.
- Ability to travel domestically; must reside within commuting distance of Louisville, KY.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with ERP or TMS (Transportation Management System) implementations.
- Background working with cross-functional IT and operations teams.
- Experience managing account migrations involving multiple products and services.
- Familiarity with Zoom and virtual collaboration tools for daily standups.
- Prior experience supporting onsite implementations or multi-site deployments.
